Intermediate Level Apprenticeships
Intermediate Level Apprenticeships lead to Level 2 or 3 qualifications. On Intermediate Level Apprenticeships, employed apprentices will receive a wage of at least £2.60 per hour.
Intermediate Level Apprenticeships will give you the opportunity to achieve:
- Work-related qualifications at Level 2 or 3, relevant to the skills you need to learn for your chosen career. Work-related qualifications are achieved by assessing your competence in the workplace
- Key Skills, which are important for all kinds of work
- Technical certificates such as BTEC or City & Guilds qualifications which will give you with the knowledge you need to do your job
- Practical experience in your chosen area of work
You might attend a college or training centre on a day or block release basis.
The length of time it takes to complete your Intermediate Level Apprenticeship will vary, but it normally takes at least a year.
When you have completed your Intermediate Level Apprenticeship, you might be able to progress to an Advanced Level Apprenticeship, or continue your learning in other ways.
