How does Connexions work with Employers?

  • We offer a free vacancy and recruitment service in Connexions Centres across Tyne and Wear, via a freephone vacancy helpline and online
  • We work closely with Apprenticeship and work-based learning providers
  • Connexions is contracted to arrange work experience placements for school, colleges and academies throughout Tyne and Wear

Connexions Sunderland manages the Sunderland Education Business Partnership (EBP).

Connexions agrees to:

  • Display details of your vacancies at all local Connexions Centres and on-line, unless you state otherwise
  • Co-ordinate applications
  • Keep you informed regarding the progress with filling the vacancy
  • Apply the Connexions equal opportunities policy to all vacancies

In return we ask you to:

  • Allow a member of our vacancy team to visit you if you have not been visited recently
  • Make us aware of the outcome of all applications, including the name and start date of the successful candidate
  • Ensure that all relevant employment regulations are adhered to and that necessary protection and insurances are in place.
