2009 date to be confirmed

International Human Rights Day is marked every year on 10 December.  Activities are led by the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights in Geneva, New York and at the field-presences.

The High Commissioner in her role as the international coordinator of the UN Human Rights Programmes chooses a new theme for Human Rights Day each year.
