Get up Go was the challenge given to the young people of Gateshead.

Get up and go where?

To the Connexions Centre in Gateshead on the 10th March 2007 was the reply.

Young people and parents from all over Gateshead attended the event.

The event gave young people the opportunity to meet employers and providers from across the region. These included:

Access Training
Gateshead College
Training for Tomorrow
Pheonix Training
Rathbone
NEETA
TDR
ITEC
Tyneside Training Services
Gateshead Council
Nissan
Gateshead Collective
North East Chamber of Commerce

During the course of the day we welcomed over 70 young people into the Centre, which bettered last year’s attendance!

Thanks go to all who attended including members of staff from New Pathways who offered advice and guidance to adult visitors during the day.

One visitor to the event said:

“This event was very useful and gave me all of the information I needed”

Completion of the evaluation sheet entered young people into a draw to possibly win an I-pod!
