More about Newcastle International Airport...
Newcastle International is a rapidly expanding Airport. Currently there are over 3,000 people working on site. It's estimated that for every one million passengers travelling through the Airport one thousand jobs will be created - and there will be nearly 6 million passengers by 2007! (so that's quite a few jobs).

The Airport is a beacon in the North East of England, flying to more than 85 worldwide destinations and creating jobs in a challenging economic environment where many industries are in decline.
Most people will have seen the ‘docu-soaps’ about Airports and Airlines on TV, but are they true to life? Yes, they are! Perhaps it’s the enormous variety of jobs that makes the Airport environment so interesting, stimulating and challenging!
Did you know there are: -
• Air Traffic Controllers • Electricians • Bar Staff • Cleaners • Retail Workers
• Gardeners • Baggage Handlers • Firefighters • Car Park Attendants
• Check In Desk Staff • Cabin and Flight Deck Crew • Travel Agents
• Aircraft Mechanics • Bankers • Engineers • Planners • Accountants
• Health & Safety • Clerical and Administrative Staff to name but a few
Newcastle International Airport is open 365 days a year, 24 hours per day, so if you are expecting to work 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday, Airport work may not be for you! But, if you want variety, contact with people (the nice and the not so nice!), interesting and challenging work, Newcastle Airport is the place for you!
