National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs) are a nationally recognised qualification based on standards developed by industry and commerce. NVQs are work based and assess a person’s ability to do the job. There are five levels of NVQs; the table below gives information on these levels and their equivalents:
NVQ qualifications are usually delivered via recognised Colleges or Training Providers and include a combination of on-the-job training, day or block release to study, assessments in the work place and portfolio evidence building.
