Learning Providers
Full and detailed information is available in the Partnership Agreement document which is annually negotiated with your local Connexions service/link Personal Adviser to show how we will work together to ensure that all young people are recruited into suitable provision, have access to impartial information, advice and guidance and personal support and progress as a result of the provision and support.
Connexions agrees to:
- Maintain frequent contact between link Personal Adviser, Vacancy team/Hub staff and the Provider
- Work with Providers to improve recruitment, retention and achievement in learning and training
- Support those at risk of dropping out of learning
- Assist eligible trainees to claim EMA
- All employed status learning opportunities, provided they are employed from day one, will be regarded in the same way as job vacancies and handled by Connexions Hub Services Vacancy team
- Work in partnership with Learning Providers, schools, colleges and other agencies to safeguard and promote the welfare of all children, young people and vulnerable adults
- Encourage schools and colleges to develop links with Learning Providers
- Encourage employers to participate in work-based learning as placement providers and employed Apprenticeships
- Provide opportunities for professional training and development of your staff via Connexions Hub Services in Tyne and Wear Curriculum Development and INSET programmes
Learning Providers agree to:
- Inform us and keep us up to date with current learning areas offered
- Provide access to learner’s ILP in order to identify appropriate support needs, including any learners with Additional Learner or Support Needs
- Include link Personal Adviser in client review meetings
- Inform us of starters and leavers/destination details including those under threat of leaving before completion of training
- Ensure safeguarding/child protection responsibilities and risk assessments are in place
- Assist and support learners to claim EMA where appropriate
Connexions Hub Services in Tyne and Wear is a member of the Tyne and Wear and Northumberland Association of Learning Providers and the North East Chamber of Commerce.
Connexions Hub Services is accredited to the matrix quality standard for information advice and guidance services. Connexions Hub Services were awarded in the matrix Excellence Awards 2009.
