Box Clever

Students are given the opportunity to set up their own mini business, they need to produce a either a money box, jewellery box, or gift box. They also need to form their own company consisting of a company name, logo etc. They will acquire an awareness of entrepreneurial skills. Marketing techniques, basic budgeting skills, creativity techniques and presentation skills.

Exploring Enterprise

This activity gives students the opportunity to use their enterprise skills. They will form a company; produce a logo, company name and a marketing and advertising strategy. Students acquire knowledge and understanding of local business, use creative techniques and raise their awareness of entrepreneurial skills.

Hot Property

Working in small teams students form a building company and tender to build a housing estate. Students will work creatively and develop communication, negotiation and problem solving skills and presentation skills during the activity.

The Celebration

Student’s experience planning and preparing for a celebration within a budget. They will need to create a menu, consider venue and entertainment options etc. They will then need to present their ideas to a panel of judges.

Poster Competition

Students will be asked to create an innovative poster around the theme of enterprise to highlight the skills needed to be an entreneprenaur. Students will be given the opportunity to experience taking part in a competition, the winning group/student receiving a prize.

Schools Go Fair-Trade

Students will develop an awareness of Fair-trade and use their enterprise skills to plan and prepare an event for year 6 students who will be leaving Primary school.

Soaring to Success

This activity gives students the opportunity to use their enterprise skills to plan and and construct a theme park. It is designed to develop planning, decision making skills, coping with risk and change and presentation skills.

Social Enterprise Challenge

This activity gives students the opportunity to use their enterprise skills to takle a social or environmental need. They will form a company, produce a business plan and publicise their sceme.

Swimming to the Top

Students experience running a business. They learn about supply and demand, production process, anticipating the market and discover the importance of teamwork, co-operation, negotiation, creativity, decision making and problem solving.

Visiting Speakers

Representatives from industry to speak to students on topics relevant to enterprise.

What’s My Line

This activity is essentially a guessing game. The students what jobs Business Ambassadors do following a series of clues.

Event designed to raise awareness of the Recruitment and Selection procedure and to develop students understanding of finding future employment.
