Metrocentre Vacancies
Ask most people to think about shopping in the Gateshead area, the one place that most people will probably mention is Metrocentre.
In 1980 few people realised that, when a site on the outskirts of Gateshead was chosen for development, shopping in the North East of England would never be the same again.
28th April 1986 was the first day of trading in Metrocentre, the Red Mall was officially opened, followed in time by the Green, Blue and Yellow Malls.
In the 25 years since opening, Metrocentre has become more than bricks and mortar. It is now a favourite place of many people to shop, eat, play and just watch the world go by. There are over 340 shops in the four malls and over 2.5 million people live within a 70 minute drive.
Although many retailers within Metrocentre advertise vacancies on their own websites, a selection of vacancies are posted here on a regular basis.
