Opening times
Monday-Friday 12noon-5pm

If you need to speak to an adviser outside these times, the Directgov Careers Helpline for Young People offers free, confidential information and advice about the world of careers and learning for 13 to 19 year olds in England. Advisers are available between 8am-10pm, Monday-Sunday. The Helpline is closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day. Call free on 0800 100 900, text 07766 413 219.

Our Connexions Centre is on Percy Street in Newcastle upon Tyne and can easily be reached by car, bus and Metro.

Our Centre offers excellent resources and information for young people. When you go in, friendly staff will greet you and signpost you to the services and information we provide. Wait in our large, comfortable waiting area or browse our resources.

Free internet access

We offer free internet access and computer use. You can also use dedicated software to help you decide which career might suit you best. Someone will usually be available to help you use the computers.

Vacancies

We have loads of vacancies displayed in the windows and on boards inside the office. If you don’t want to miss out, make sure you visit regularly because the vacancies are updated on a daily basis.

Resources

The Centre has a resource area packed with information on careers, lifestyle issues, working abroad and college and university prospectuses from all over the UK. We have a range of leaflets from many different organisations that will be of interest to you covering everything from sports and health to benefits and training. You are welcome to take some away with you.
