A Personal Adviser is someone who is trained to provide impartial, confidential advice and guidance to young people aged 13 to 19 (and up to age 25 for people with special needs).
What can they do for me?
A Personal Adviser can give you support, information and guidance to help you make the best choice for your future.
Your Personal Adviser will get to know you as a person and can put you in touch with all the right people if you need extra support to reach your goals.
Will they tell my parents or teachers?
Your meeting with a Personal Adviser is strictly confidential. A Personal Adviser will not tell anyone about your visit unless you both agree you need to see someone else to get more help and advice. We do encourage young people to include their parents in the decisions they will make, but they do not have to be there unless you want them to be.
