       Kiosk Launch Event

The second phase of the kiosk network was officially launched in 2006 by the then Deputy Mayor of South Tyneside, Councillor Tracey Dixon. The launch took place at Whitburn Church of England School where one of the new kiosks is installed in the library.

             Touching The Future

The kiosks provide quick and easy access to a wide range of information including health, education, free time and travel.

Each kiosk has a built in mini-printer so information can be taken away and used later. Safe access to relevant web sites is also available making the kiosks a truly useful resource.
