Statutory careers information, advice and guidance services in Sunderland are delivered by Connexions Sunderland on behalf of Sunderland City Council.

Connexions Sunderland offers confidential advice and support services for 13-19 year olds (and up to age 25 for young people with special needs).

Sunderland IT Apprenticeship Hub

Working in collaboration with Dynamo, Sunderland Software City, and Sunderland Council, Baltic Training Services have created a non-for-profit IT Apprentice Hub, which assists the North East’s IT businesses in taking on apprentices, providing them with a pool of appropriately trained and qualified young adults to recruit from.

In September 2014, the system for supporting young people with SEND changed, and Statements of Special Educational Needs and LDAs are being replaced with a new single EHC plan

Washington Connexions Centre

Washington Connexions Centre have changed their opening days.  They will now be closed to the public on a Tuesday and open a Wednesday from 1pm to 5pm.  No appointment necessary.
