In Sunderland our aim is to:

• Ensure parents have access to Personal Advisers (and other staff) through agreed activities in Schools, Colleges, Connexions centres and other venues.
  
  
• Ensure parents are made aware of the Connexions Sunderland website www.sunderlandchildrenstrust.org.uk and how to access it.
  
  
• Ensure information on local events is available on Connexions Sunderland www.sunderlandchildrenstrust.org.uk and through other appropriate publicity.
  
  
• Ensure parents have access to a wide range of information in
  various formats - printed materials, electronic versions etc.
  
  
• Ensure parents are informed of where and when they can
  access Connexions services.
  
  
• Produce leaflets specifically for parents.
  
  
• Inform parents of specific events through mail shots where appropriate.
  
  
• Communicate role of Special Needs Personal Advisers to parents
  through attendance at reviews and other events in schools.
  
  
• Seek the views of parents on a more systematic basis.
  
  
• Consider views of parents from 1 View...Your View process and
  address these locally.
