Things to Do and Places to Go

7th - 10th September 2006


Young PhotographerCould you or someone you know take a winning photograph at a place of special historic interest in Sunderland?

Places such as the North East Aircraft Museum, Sunderland City Museum and Winter Gardens, Hylton Castle or The Mines Rescue station in Houghton?



Sunderland's "Winter Gardens"Then enter our competition! We want young people between the ages of 13 – 19 to work in groups from 3 to 6 in number. Each group must be registered and the visits be undertaken by a recognised youth organisation. Each group will be given a disposable camera and the cost of film processing will also be paid.

It will be up to the young people to choose the places they wish to visit. The competition is free to enter.


PRIZES!

The winning group will receive a digital camera, and winners of the different photographic categories will be eligible for free entry to English Heritage sites across North East England.

 

North East Aircraft Museum ON SHOW

The photographs that are taken will be exhibited in Sunderland Central Library during October 2006.  This means your photos will be seen by thousands of people.
