Gateshead stretches almost 13 miles along the south bank of the River Tyne and covers an area of 55 square miles, making it the largest in area of the five Tyne and Wear metropolitan authorities.
The town of Gateshead is divided into five areas, Central, East, Inner West, West and South there are a range of activities being held in these areas covering a wide age range. A selection of events is listed below, perhaps you would like to try something different today.

Learn the sport and get fit with other young people. £1.50 per session. Mondays, Thursdays 5.30pm-6.30pm and 6.30pm-7.30pm.
Young Women’s Group
Crafts, sports, trips, fun and friendship for ages 12 and over. Wednesdays 6-8pm.
Senior Youth Club
Decks, pool, football, trips out for ages 13 and over. Every Monday 6.30pm-8.30pm.
